First spend

So the first spend from the Banksy dosh was to give 10% to the Highland Hospice. A fabulous hospital with superb staff.

Passed on the donation a in March but haven't really be in the frame of mind to write it down here, or really sure that I should. As a matter of recording what happened to the money I decided that I should.

What next? Lets wait and see.

Cometh the day

Monday's the day for the 100 Di Faced Tenners. Penny suggested that I might like to go down and watch. Would have loved to, but just can't find the time.

Hello

So, in 2004 I bought a print by Banksy called "100 Di-Faced Tenners". I really like Banksy's work, and had previously bought a print of "Love is in the Air".

Anyway, I didn't get round to framing the new print and so it has stayed in its tube, in the back of our wardrobe, for the last four years. Last month I noticed that another version of this work had sold at Bonhams, so I've decided to sell mine.

I dropped the print off at Bonhams this afternoon, who will look after it until someone (hopefully) buys it next year.

The interesting question is what to do with the proceeds. I don't want to just put the money into a bank account, or use it around the house. This money should be used for interesting things.

Should I buy more art? Give some of it to charity? Use it to do things that we would never have done otherwise? I think we should use any proceeds (and let's remember it hasn't sold yet) in an exciting, joyous, manner.
